How Subtle Network handles your information.
Last updated: July 14, 2026
1. What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service and keep your account secure:
- Account info — your email, name, and billing address.
- Payment info — handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers are never stored on our servers.
- Usage data — pages visited, opportunities clicked, and podcast episodes played.
- Device and IP data — standard server logs collected automatically.
- Voluntary content — anything you choose to post or send us, such as forms and support replies.
2. How we use it
- Provide the service and give you access to the content and community you signed up for.
- Process payments through Stripe.
- Send transactional emails — welcome messages, receipts, and security notices.
- Send marketing emails only if you opted in, kept separate from transactional email.
- Improve the product based on how the service is actually used.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
3. Third-party services
We rely on a small set of trusted vendors. Each handles a specific part of the service:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — email delivery.
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- Vercel — hosting.
- Patreon— a separate service governed by Patreon’s own privacy policy.
We do not sell your data to any third party for advertising. Full stop.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to make the site work. We may also use optional analytics cookies to understand how the service is used. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
5. How long we keep it
- Account data — for as long as your account is active, plus 12 months after closure for tax and legal records.
- Payment records — 7 years, as required by US tax law.
- Marketing email opt-ins — until you unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, and export your personal information. To make a request, email info@subtleaccess.net. We respond within 30 days.
7. California residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you specific rights:
- Right to know — what personal information we collect and how we use it.
- Right to delete — request deletion of your personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale — though we do not sell your data.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
8. Contact
For all privacy questions, email info@subtleaccess.net. We will notify members by email if we make material changes to this policy.
